A hummingbird surmised That my red flowered dress Was nectar for his feast I invited him closer Wishing I could Spontaneously transform Into a luscious Succulent and dripping Red hibiscus flower Petals open in waiting In anticipation Of this dashing and dancing Wonder of wonders Born to know how to enter With perfect precision and aim To savor and depart gracefully No wooing or deception No hesitation Straight forward Honest And superbly elegant ©Corlene Van Sluizer Piedades, Costa Rica |
